It's easy with this little roofing estimator!

Here's how to do it:

1. Stand on the ground and measure the length and the width of your roof. Be sure to include all overhangs.

2. Next you will check the amount of slope of your roof.

To check your slope, simply PRINT a copy of the roofing chart below.

Then cut it out with a pair of sissors.

Slope, (the ratio of the rise of the roof in inches compared to the run of the roof in feet) is easily determined with the above chart you have cut out:

3. As you are standing on the ground, hold the angle chart (above) in front of your eyes and up to your roof line. Stand back from your roof until you find your actual slope by comparing it to the chart.
4. Once you determine your slope, compare it to the "Factors" chart on the next page.
